general Info…

Climate

We have great weather from April through to October, with just occasional rain. Temperatures often reach the mid-high 30s or low 40s in July and August. The heat can build up leading to dramatic thunderstorms. Early and late summer (June & September) the mornings and evenings can be chilly outside, but indoors you will be warm and cosy all year round. January is predictably the coldest month and temperatures can remain around zero, however we have known 16-18 degrees on Christmas Day and New Years Day! During the winter months logs for the wood-burner are provided and the gite also has central heating.

  • No pets please as we have free-range hens and cats;

  • No infants as we cannot ensure their safety as there is so much natural water here;

  • No smoking inside or outside;

  • Exercise caution regarding use of candles or any naked flames:

  • Barbecues only within designated barbecue, as during the hot summer months there is a real risk of wild-fires;

  • No outside guests please without our prior consent, and especially not to stay overnight and not to use the pool;

  • No parties please or noise after 11pm for consideration to our neighbours.

If there is anything you are unsure about please just ask us first, we try to be as accommodating as possible.
